This was the first project where I acted as an Art Director and a designer (inside of the Formitas Agency), creating a new brand with their unique product.
Sustainability was extremely important to the client. The concept behind the product is: that due to the irregular shape and size of sweet potatoes, not all of the sweet potatoes are approved to be sold at supermarkets and are usually discarded. In accordance with the principles of "zero waste", Batasta transformed the surplus potatoes into the first Slovenian sweet potato, gluten-free pasta.
Keywords: homey, playful, engaging, fun, sustainable. With that in mind, we created a leading animated character, which can be seen in the primary version of the logotype. It is an important element in the illustrative "story telling" on the packaging and throughout the marketing communications (social media, digital and TV).
The brand applied to become part of the "Startaj Slovenija" (A project that supports innovative local products for distribution in Spar* and Interspar* stores all over Slovenia) and was so successful that Batasta won "Top Product of 2021" Award.
